Each year, Brisbane veterans and their families march in the Anzac Day Parade. For veterans, the Anzac Day Parade is an opportunity for those who have served our country and its allies to re-form the ranks of their units and march as a sign of respect for their fallen comrades. For descendants of veterans, it’s an opportunity to honour and recognise loved ones who have served in defence of Australia or its interests.
The parade will be held on Adelaide Street, between George Street and Creek Street. Starts with the Governor of Queensland’s address at King George Square
If you wish to participate in the 2025 Anzac Day Parade Brisbane, as an individual or Ex-Service Association not recognised within the current Order of March, a place within Group 2 of the Order of March has been reserved for Veterans that are not current members of those participating Associations. Please contact the Event Office on 07 3358 3361 for more detail.
If you are an Ex-service organisation (ESO) continuing participation in the Anzac Day March or if you are a veteran and would like further information relating to the Parade, please ensure your entry on the Order of March. Registration forms will be sent by email to all previously registered ESO contacts.
Any veteran that can no longer march is invited to take advantage of the jeeps driven by the owner members of the Military Jeep Club of Queensland or the golf buggies. Vehicles are inserted behind the relevant Ex-Service organisations listed on the Order of March to remain close to their peers.
In 2025 the event may still face restrictions to comply with the Event Planning requirements, however it will be conducted on the traditional route (see maps) unless otherwise notified. Those veterans and citizens unable to attend are invited to watch the event on ABC TV and be assured that the Parade participation and spectator opportunities are reviewed as we approach the event.
You can complete the online form and call the Event Office on 07 3358 3361 for further details.
There is a separate golf buggy shuttle to transport veterans and those accompanying to either the Jeep Loading area (outside Commonwealth Bank, Queen Street) or to the junction of George & Elizabeth Streets for those marching veterans.
The Parade is primarily for ADF veterans to march or use the transport options as Associations or individuals. There is also the opportunity for veterans of other countries to march in Group 8 each year and for Descendants of All Veterans to participate in Group 9. Please contact the office for further details.
